"The Soaring Eagle" - 16" x 20"

The soaring eagle has been revered by Native Americans and indigenous groups, symbolizing much of what resonates in the American ethos today. I've always been fascinated by the vitality of birds of prey—their angelic nature, piercing eyes, and the balance of ferocity and honor that flows through them. The eagle, in particular, embodies the spirit of action and the power of soaring. I was inspired to paint this after several encounters with falcons and eagles, who appeared to me in Los Angeles, landing on a pole line staring at me or even on the metal handle outside my apartment staring at me. These visitations felt like a powerful totem, symbolizing the courage and strength needed to lead with heart.
