About Me
Who am I?
I am a Haitian-American artist based in Los Angeles.
After years of working a 9-to-5 and juggling multiple jobs, I felt completely burnt out. My work lacked meaning. I turned to painting as an escape, and it has become a great source of joy and self-realization.
Drawing on my ancestral roots and personal history, my art is an exploration of Haitian landscape and mythology through the aesthetics of expressionism and pop art.

What do I paint?
I have explored African spiritual traditions, Haitian mythologies, Latin American and Eastern myths, Christian iconography, Egyptian deities, Tarot symbolism, and Western alchemical visions of spirituality to uncover these connections. I have also been inspired by expressionists like Basquiat and pop artists like Kaws.
Nature is a boundless source of inspiration for me, as I draw from the beings that inhabit it—mammals, amphibians, reptiles, birds, plants, insects, spirits, gods, and other natural guardians—channeling their protective energy into my art. My childhood in Haiti, a dreamland alive with the vibrancy of nature, continues to shape my artistic vision. I strive to create art that transcends borders, inspiring a universal connection rooted in a planetary naturism and the promise of hopeful futures.
As a painter, I am captivated by the symbolism of eyes and their ability to evoke different modes of perception. These eyes act as protectors, accessing thresholds of divinity, warding off negative energy and malevolent spirits, and embodying structures that safeguard against harm and evil forces.
What do I stand for?
-
Spiritual Awakening
I believe art is a powerful means of spiritual awakening, transcending the material world of modern times to connect with deeper truths. It resonates with the soul, and the artist's role is to express inner emotions rather than imitate reality. This guides humanity toward higher consciousness and spiritual enlightenment.
-
Afrofuturism
I believe art is inherently tied to the future, shaping what is yet to come. As a person of Afro-Haitian descent, I integrate Black history, aesthetics, and visions into my work. Centering these perspectives, my art expresses a unique Black vision of the future.
-
Radical Imagination
I believe the world is at a critical turning point, and we must embrace radical imagination. Every artist is a messenger of what’s to come, tasked with dreaming of a better future and a better world.
