About Me

Who am I?

I am Fabrice-Jude, a Haitian-American Artist, writer and worldbuilder based in Los Angeles. My work evolves from my ongoing research into mythology, history, and radical imagination. I use the aesthetics of surrealism, pop art, comic books, and expressionism to tell stories about cultural revolutions, personal agency, societal decay, contemporary culture, and spiritual transformation. My artistic practice merges painting, drawing, and worldbuilding into a singular vision—an alternate reality where mythology, protest culture, and future imaginaries collide.

I founded Syllble Studios, the first collaborative worldbuilding production house, to help people imagine more hopeful futures through storytelling and shared fictional worlds.

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, I moved to Florida at 13 and later earned a Master’s degree in Conflict Transformation and a B.S. in International Affairs. My identity is deeply tied to the Haitian landscape, mythology, and diasporic experience, which I channel into my work.

What do I paint?

My art is a fusion of pop art, surrealism, and worldbuilding, heavily influenced by the visual storytelling of comic strips, science fiction, and fantasy.

I create fictional characters and mythologies that allow me to explore contemporary themes—power, freedom, meaning crises, and rebellion. My work is rooted in Haitian mysticism, personal history, and speculative futures, often reflecting on the tension between ancestral knowledge and modern realities.

I am captivated by symbolism, especially eyes, which I use as a visual language to explore themes of perception, protection, and the unseen forces shaping our world. Inspired by Basquiat, Warhol, Kaws, Nara, and Lichtenstein, I blend high and low art, protest culture, and spirituality into a radical pop aesthetic.

My latest artistic inquiry reimagines Papa Legba, the Haitian Vodou deity of crossroads and personification of destiny, as an evolving visual icon - bridging mythology, consciousness, and contemporary culture.

  • Spiritual Awakening

The artist's role is to express inner emotions rather than imitate reality. This guides humanity toward higher consciousness and spiritual enlightenment.

  • Transcendentalism

I strive to create art that transcends borders, inspiring a universal connection rooted in a planetary naturism and the promise of hopeful futures.

  • Radical Imagination

Every artist is a messenger of what’s to come, tasked with dreaming of a better future and a better world.
